In this website, the term “British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa”, or “British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa Area”, are all used to refer to the Area business unit responsible for British American Tobacco’s operations in Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Congo Republic, Gabon, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, St. Helena, Ascension Island, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Somaliland, Mauritius, Madascar, Comoros, Sao Tomé & Principe, Mayotte, Seychelles and La Reunion.However, the term “British American Tobacco West Africa” is used to refer specialy to British American Tobacco’s operations in Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Congo Republic, Gabon, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia,Sao Tomé & Principe; While the term “British American Tobacco East Africa” is used specifically for British American Tobacco’s operations in St. Helena, Ascension Island, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Somaliland, Mauritius, Madascar, Comoros, Mayotte, Seychelles and La Reunion and “British American Tobacco Democratic Republic of Congo” for our Tobacco’s operations in Democratic Republic of Congo.
The term “British American Tobacco" is used to refer to British American Tobacco p.l.c. or the group of companies constituting British American Tobacco p.l.c. and its subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide, as the case may be, including British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa or British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa Area (“The Group”).
Similarly, the use of the terms “we”, “us” and “our” are used, depending on the context, to refer to British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa or British American Tobacco Sub Saharan Africa Area, British American Tobacco p.l.c. and/or the British American Tobacco Group.
